Photoshop in browser, is it actually usable these days?

Guys, so I've been looking for a way to do quick photo edits without installing anything heavy on my machine here in the US. Photoshop web based tools have come a long way apparently but I'm sceptical about how much you can realistically do compared to desktop software. Anyone switched to browser based editing for regular work and found it actually holds up?

For most everyday editing tasks it's more than capable. Removing backgrounds, adjusting exposure, basic retouching, all of that works fine without touching desktop software. Where it falls short is heavy compositing or anything requiring very precise layer control, but for 80 percent of what most people actually need it's completely workable.

The 80 percent point is spot on. Most people massively overestimate how much of desktop Photoshop they actually use regularly. Photoshop web alternatives that run in the browser have gotten genuinely capable for the kind of edits that come up most often, colour correction, cropping, spot removal, quick enhancements. The convenience of not needing an installation and being able to work from any device changes the workflow considerably. Worth trying before assuming desktop is the only option.
