Crypto exchange, how do you find one that's actually reliable?

Hey guys, so I've been getting more serious about crypto lately here in the US and the exchange question is where I keep getting stuck. The options are overwhelming and every platform claims to be the best. What do you actually look for when choosing a crypto exchange that's genuinely trustworthy rather than just well marketed?

Rate transparency before you confirm anything is the non negotiable for me. The platforms worth using show you exactly what arrives on the other side before you send a single coin. Anything that only reveals the real spread mid transaction isn't worth the hassle regardless of how slick the interface looks.

That makes sense, I hadn't thought about the spread side of it as carefully as I should. So basically the test is whether the platform is upfront before you commit rather than after. A crypto exchange that handles that honestly and processes consistently without unexpected delays is genuinely hard to find but worth the effort of locating.
