If you’ve been grinding out your town management and shipping in Path of Exile 2, you know just how precious Verisium is. It takes time, effort, and map clear to build up a solid stockpile. Unfortunately, a brutal interface bug is currently floating around that can wipe out hours of your hard work in a single fraction of a second.

If you haven't heard about it yet, you'll want to pay close attention so you don't accidentally delete your own hard-earned resources.

How the Bug Works

The glitch centers around Farrow, the vendor we all visit to handle our ore. Specifically, it triggers when you try to buy Liquid Verisium.

In Path of Exile, muscle memory is a powerful thing. Most of us are completely hardwired to use the Shift + Ctrl + Left Click shortcut whenever we want to mass-convert or bulk-buy materials from a vendor. It’s fast, convenient, and usually safe.

However, right now, the game’s transaction handler completely breaks when you use this bulk command for Verisium. Instead of doing the math correctly and trading your ore at the proper ratio, the system glitches out. It will instantly swallow your entire inventory stockpile of raw Verisium, but it will only give you a single piece of Liquid Verisium (or, at best, a strictly capped maximum of 100) in return.

Players have already taken to forums and social media to share their pain, with reported losses ranging anywhere from 11,000 ore to a staggering 120,000+ Verisium wiped out in an instant.

Current Status: GGG is on It

The good news is that Grinding Gear Games is aware of the situation. They officially acknowledged the issue via the Path of Exile X account and confirmed that they are actively working on a deployment fix to get this patched out as soon as possible.

What You Should Do Right Now

Until that patch actually drops and hits the live servers, you need to completely unlearn that Shift+Ctrl+Click muscle memory when talking to Farrow.

To keep your materials safe, use these workarounds:

• Stick to single clicks: It might feel tedious if you're trying to move a lot of material, but clicking one by one will prevent the game from miscalculating the bulk command.

• Use manual stack splits: If you want to move larger amounts safely, shift-click to split your stacks manually into smaller, manageable chunks before finalizing any transactions.

Lastly, a bit of grim news: due to how these kinds of database issues work, it is highly unlikely that GGG will be able to restore lost items or rolled-back ore to individual accounts. If you’ve already fallen victim to this glitch, your best move is to head over to the official POE forums or bug reporting channels to log your experience. While it might not get your ore back, it gives the developers more data to track down the root cause and ensure the fix works perfectly.
