Leveling in Blade & Soul Neo may seem overwhelming at first, but the journey from level 1 to 45 is straightforward once you know how to BnS NEO Classic Divine Gems approach it. This guide covers the full leveling path, important tips, and small tricks that will save you time and make your adventure smoother.
Starting Out: Bamboo Coast or Heaven's Reach
When you first log in, the game will ask whether you'd like to begin at Bamboo Coast or Heaven's Reach.
Heaven's Reach is the prologue and introduces you to the Hongmoon student story while teaching the basics. If you're a new player, it's worth experiencing for the narrative and tutorial benefits.
After completing it, you'll arrive at Bamboo Coast, the main starting area.
Switch to Blade & Soul Mode
Press Shift + F2 to swap into Blade & Soul Mode instead of Classic Mode. This enables action combat, making battles smoother and more dynamic.
Follow the Yellow Main Story Quests
On your quest tracker, you'll see yellow quests-these are your Main Story Quests (MSQ). Focus on these almost exclusively, since they carry you efficiently through the leveling process.
Two early tips for MSQs:
Spam "F" on NPCs – Characters walk slowly, but you don't need to wait for them to stop moving. Interact instantly.
Use the Teleport Button – Every MSQ step has a teleport option that places you right at your next objective or NPC. Use this constantly to save time.
Early Weapon Options
Weapons in Blade & Soul don't have level requirements, so if you're BnS NEO Classic Divine Gems or have alts, you can buy a strong one from the auction house.
Other early weapon sources:
Battle Pass: Grants a free level 45 Profane Jiangshi weapon right at tier 1.
Pre-Registration Rewards: New players may receive a free starter weapon.
Even basic upgrades drastically speed up leveling.
Take Time to Explore
While teleporting is efficient, walking allows you to admire the Unreal Engine 4 visuals and contribute to your Exploration Journal, which provides extra stats. Since there's no huge rush to endgame (especially if capped at level 36 during NA release), exploration is worthwhile.
Purple Quests: Tutorials Worth Doing
You'll notice purple quests scattered across the map. These are tutorial quests designed to teach mechanics. They don't grant EXP, but are fast and convenient, often overlapping with your MSQ route.
Why do they? They reward Valor Stones, which are key to unlocking early skill upgrades. Collecting at BnS Classic Divine Gems least 20 should be an early priority.
